Who Should Attend - Any one that is involved within confined space planning or entry. Confined space is described in the regulations as being “any place including areas such as a chamber, tank, vat, silo pit, trench, pipe sewer flue or well or other similar space in which, by way of its enclosed nature, arises a reasonably foreseeable specified risk”. Drainage engineers, telecommunication engineers, ground workers, inspectors, surveyors and construction workers, to name a few, would all benefit from this type of training. Those in charge of confined space works on their sites (health and safety professionals, project managers, supervisors, team leads and foreman) would also gain an understanding of confined space safety and entry requirements in all levels of confined space works.
