Employing Contractors in the Armed Forces, Reserves, Cadet Forces and Veterans
At Height Services (AHS UK Ltd) employ contractors who are current and ex members of the Armed forces, Reserves and Cadet Forces and recognise the valuable contribution they make to the Armed Forces and their civilian work life.
This policy defines the obligations towards current serving members of the armed forces, Reservists, Veterans and Cadet Forces and states that the Company will not disadvantage any such member.
At Height Services (AHS UK Ltd) uses a number of contractors who are current serving members of the armed forces and Reservists and who may be subject to call up and mobilisation. These contractors also require time for training to maintain their skills readiness for deployment. All current serving members of the armed forces and reservists have unlimited leave and their post will remain open for as long as the contractor should wish to return.

Armed Forces Policy
At Height Services (AHS UK Ltd) uses a number of contractors that are Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) and therefore understands that there are certain times and obligations that the CFAV may not be available. All CFAV will have automatic authorised leave for these circumstances and their post will remain open for as long as the contractor should wish to return.
At Height Services (AHS UK Ltd) pledges its support towards members of, or those wishing to join the Armed forces, Reservists and Cadet forces and acknowledges the training that enables them to develop their skills will benefit both the Contractor and the Company.
At Height Services (AHS UK Ltd) recognises that additional leave may be required for current serving members of the armed forces and reservist upon return from mobilization in the form of refresher training, new training, reintegration within the team and therapeutic treatment (if required). This will be offered on an individual basis, lead by the individual returning so that the correct support and training can be put in place.
At Height Services has appointed a Contractor who is a Veteran as the Armed Forces Champion of the company. His main role will be to make sure that the company is compliant with this policy and any other pledges that the company has made in relation to the Armed Forces Covenant. The Armed Forces Champion will work closely with current serving members, Reservists, Veterans and CFAV to ensure that their individual needs are being met and report any issues to the Armed Forces Liaison Officer
At Height Services (AHS UK Ltd) actively seeks current serving members, veterans, reservists and CFAV due their skill set, experience in dealing with emergency situations, loyalty and the ability to adapt and overcome in a fast-changing sector. At Height Services recognises the valuable contribution to the company and will endeavour to support any such member within the best of its ability.
